 Q: How can you tell a dolphin's age?
A: You can calculate a dolphin's age by examining one of its teeth, which have layers of enamel that tell you its age. You can also make an educated guess by examining his weight and size.
Q: How many teeth do dolphins have?
A: Between 80-100.
Q: What do dolphins eat?
A: Our dolphins eat codfish, mackerel, herring and squid imported from the United States and Canada.
Q: How much do they eat?
A: Around 5% of their weight; between 20-26 pounds a day each.
Q: How do dolphins rest and sleep?
A: Because dolphin breathe air - and must surface to obtain it, they only rest one hemisphere of their brain while the other stays alert and continues to perform vital functions - including breathing.
Q: How long can dolphins stay underwater?

A: About four to six months.
Q: How can you tell your dolphins apart?
A: Although it isn't easy for the untrained eye, we can tell them apart from their markings, color, and size.
Q: Do dolphins understand any language or recognize their names?
A: No, they answer hand signals and sounds, and recognize tones of voice.
Q: Have any dolphins been born in your facilities?
A: Yes. Nouba, Kaitsa, Ketsi, Linco, Nemo and Tonalli were all born at our Dolphin Center in Nuevo Vallarta Mexico.
